The Cachena cows are a breed of cows from Portugal. It’s a strain that used for purposes and is raised for meat and milk production. In addition to Portugal, these critters are consumed in Galicia, Spain.
Typically, these creatures are stored from the character in a range grazing system. They have to get hunting for blossoms at the bushland, great awareness of smell which helps them.
Cachena Cattle Characteristics
The Cachena cows are small creatures but not a rainbow strain. They’re among the world’s cattle breeds. They’ve nicely proportioned horns that were large and body.
They are light brown to yellowish in color. Their mucosas are unpigmented except for their muzzle that is dark. The typical height of the two bulls and cows is equivalent to or less than 110 cm. However, the bulls are taller compared to cows.
The Cachena cows are able to reside on granite ground that is inferior. They are excellently adapted for their environment and a strain.
The average bodyweight of the cows is approximately 390 kg. Along with the bulls on weight around 550 pounds.
Even though the Cachena cows breed was a breed that is triple-purpose but today it’s raised for beef production. And it’s famous for its excellent beef grade.
Together quality beef production, the strain creates just a quantity of milk. Their milk is of the herbs of this variety and quasi perfumed because of taste. The Cachena cows are mothers and their calves are treated by them.
Their little height might be an adaption into the hostile environment as a little bunny requires less energy and survives hungry intervals.
The breed was originally bred previously, which can be an agricultural district in the northwest of Portugal in the Vila Real District. Climate is dry and hot and humid and cold in winter. The floor can be obtained there.
The Cachena cows breed are dispersed around the communities at the Spanish park’s mountain range areas Baixa Limia-Serra perform Xurés from the frontier area. Additionally, they are dispersed in the Portuguese Peneda-Gerês National Park and in the region across the village Olelas. There was A Cachena Cattle herdbook set in 1990.
