Even the Belted cows are moderate-sized creatures with shade layout that is belted. They’ve base color of either reddish. The base color is the most common.
Along with this breed’s distinguishing feature is white around it is the centre, set between the shoulders and the hips’ belt. Their horns are long, and both bulls and cows have horns and curved upwards.

Dutch Belted Cattle Advantages

Dutch Belted Cattle Origin
The first cows were originated in Austria and Switzerland. Along with nobility transferred into the Netherlands, this Dutch Belted cows breed’s ancestors from the 17th century.

From the 1830s, the Dutch Belted cows breed was imported in the USA. There the strain was shown as a rare strain of cows by P.T. Barnum within his traveling circus.
America herdbook’s Dutch Belted Cattle Association has been created in 1886. The Association remains as the oldest registry for the breed. And the strain continued in popularity and became recognized in the USA.
But the number of those animals declined throughout the 1900s into the purpose of near-extinction. The Dutch Belted cows are recorded as ‘critical’ by the American Livestock Breeds Conservancy about the Conservation Priority record.
Nowadays the population of this strain is projected at more than 1000 global and under 300 in the USA.
