Evolene Cattle Characteristics

The Evolene cows are a milk breed of cows raised for milk production. It’s a classic breed of dairy cattle in the Valais canton of Switzerland. It’s currently an endangered strain and is available broadly in Upper Wallis (Oberwallis).

Cows were exported into Austria and also to the Aosta Valley and they had been crossed with all the cow’s strains found there like the Tuxer or even Valdostana cows. And together with cows fighting because of their standing in long battles the Evolene cows are extremely competitive like the Herens and Tux cows.

Evolene cows are moderate-sized creatures having pied that is reddish or pied. The fur’s areas are like the Pinzgau cows, just around the stomach and the trunk. They’re extremely muscular with throat muscles at the cows.

The Evolene cows have legs and a mind that is wide and brief. Both cows and bulls have horns, and their horns are long and powerful. The height of the bulls is roughly 130 cm.

Along with the cows are somewhat bigger compared to bulls.

The cows weigh approximately 400 to 500 kg. And the typical bodyweight of the bulls ranges from 600 to 700 kg.
