Krishna Valley Cattle History
National Bureau of Animal Genetic Resources came into the rescue of also a job and the germplasm to conserve the strain has been initiated in November program via BAIF Development Research Foundation under Network job on AnGR. Primary breeding tract of the breed comprises Bijapur Raichur and Belgaum districts of Karnataka state.
Along with Solapur, Satara and Sangli districts of Maharashtra state. It’s thought that the Ongole cattle breed of Andhra Gir Pradesh and Kankrej strains of local and Gujarat cows breed with Mysore kind blood inside them have led to this Krishna Valley cattle breed’s source.
