Red Wattle Pig

The Red Wattle pig is a breed of pig. It’s likewise known as Red Wattle Hog, and the strain is known for its reddish color and identifying wattles along with tassels.

Red Wattle pigs are moderate to large creatures. Their coat and wattles easily characterize them. Though their coloration could be black, and sometimes of different shades of crimson. The height of these animals is roughly 120 cm.

Red Wattle Pig

The Red Wattle pig strain is manufactured by H. C. Wengler that cross-bred two wattled red sows using a Duroc boar for staring the ‘Wengler Red Waddle’ line. Also, creatures became Red Wattle pig’s lineup, also were discovered by Robert Prentice.

Prentice spanned his Timberlines using the lineup of Wengler. There was no breed institution that is fundamental, but there have been three strain registries. The American Livestock Breeds Conservancy discovered Just 42 creatures in 1999. And these 42 creatures breeders.

An institution for the Red Wattle pig has been launched called’Red Wattle Hog Association’, also since September 2012 it’s maintained the pedigree publication for its strain. Presently Slow Food USA at the Ark of Taste lists the strain.
