The Southern Yellow cows are small but sturdy animals. They are now being chosen for the creation of excellent meat, although They’ve been used for draft animals.
They’re now a strain of Zebu cows that are derived from Bos taurus and B. indicus. The Southern Yellow cows are located in Vietnam, Taiwan, and Southern China. Though they derive from Bos taurus and B. indicus, however, the Chinese don’t distinguish between both of these species.
They don’t differentiate for traditional motives and simply call the cows as “yellow cows”.
Southern Yellow cattle Characteristics
The Southern Yellow cows are smaller sized creatures with little body.
Their body color vary from yellowish to brown orange or black to white. But the majority of the creatures are all 1 color. They’re just one of three strains of cows that are Chinese.
Two cattle are the cow’s breeds as well as Central Plains cattle.
The Northern Imperial breed is obviously taurine (Bos taurus Taurus), the Southern French breed is obviously Zebu (Bos taurus indicus).
However, the Central Plains strain is intermediate. This means in a glance the Northern Imperial cattle don’t have any humps, the Central Plains Yellow cows have little humps that the Southern Yellow cows possess high, vertical humps.

The Philippine Native cows are normally quite similar and are primarily derived from the Southern Yellow cows made from Fujian into the Philippines.
As a bigger sized creature, average body fat of these Southern Yellow cows differ in 280 to 300 kg, and the bulls are thicker compared to cows.
